FACE-ing the Journey

I've always wanted to have a flawless face.
- NO ACNE
- NO PIMPLE
- NO WHITEHEADS and BLACKHEADS
- and NO VISIBLE PORES

too bad, due to Sun exposure, Pollution, Dirt and Hormonal changes. My face ended up having :
- Acnes
- Pimples
- Whiteheads and Blackheads
- visible pores
- oily face with a dry appearance - if you know what I mean, my face looks dry but it shines due to oil on my face. very sad : c.

Just like others I 've also tried various skin care products to help me solve my skin problem.
And now I will be giving you a peak on my BOX my " Kikoy BOX "
And my journey on finding the right one.

Warning : This might irritate you a bit since its not everyday that you'll meet a guy sharing make up tips. But believe me I am not the only Guy who's using them, some even use foundation ( i do - sometimes ) lol.
- I am not an expert so all of the details that you will be getting here are all based on my experience.

Review : Pond's White Beauty Creams
Product : Pond's White Beauty Creams
Price : P20 for a sachet not sure how much it costs now.
Variants : Way back, Pond's only have White beauty cream, now they launched
White beauty Pinkish Glow - not just a fairer skin but also a healthy pinkish glow.
White beauty Detox Spotless White - while giving a fairer skin it also evens out dark spots caused by pimples or acne scars. I love using this one better because I have a lot of dark spots due to pimples.

I was using it as a whitening cream way back in High school.
It doesn't give a full coverage but having a powder over it gives you a matte finish that is just right for a high school fresh look.

How did I discover it?
My sister was using it and if my memory served me right she was influenced by my Tita who happens to have a fair skin.

To whom will I recommend it?
To everyone , any skin type can use this product since this is just a moisturizing/whitening cream but if it gives you breakouts then this product is not for you.

PRO's
- not tinted so no need much time to blend
- gives you a matte finish, light and fresh
- good primer
- has SPF
- very effective in whitening

CON's
- can't think of any - I just wish they will launch tinted ones and we'll see.
- occasionally it gives me breakouts
I don't know if it is due to sun exposures because of its whitening ingredients
and as we all know using whitening product makes your skin more sensitive and more prone to pimples.

Will I use it again?
Yes, but only as a primer because I started falling so in love with tinted moisturizers that gives me a picture perfect look. lol

FINAL VERDICT
8/10 - this product is perfect specially to those who are afraid to harm their sensitive skin, for highschool students who just wanted to have a clean and fresh look, Pond's Whitening Creams are perfect for you.


So I entered college and I realized that I need a better face cream. Pond's is good but its not enough to give a perfect look for my whole day in the university.
aside from whitening creams I also love using exfoliants, hoping that one day I won't be needing creams anymore just my bare skin. but the flaking was a nightmare, tried hiding it using foundations but ends up looking like a zombie.
so the time that they launched their maxipeel concealing cream, created specially to hide the flaking, I know I must have one.

Shades : Fair and Natural

How I discover this Product?

I don't think "discover" is the right word to use because right after they launched it. I know I would buy one.
I was actually using their expoliant before hoping to have a clear skin like " kutis artista " lol, but the problem was the Flaking. it was really hard to hide and my tendency was to use a foundation to hide the flaking and I ended up like a ZOMBIE looking.

Will I use this again?
Definitely, this was my best friend my whole college years until my first year at my job. And now I will still use it.

To whom will I recommend it?
I have an oily skin and this works fantastic for me, I have tried using it to my younger sister who happens to have a dry skin and I was not so impress. But I am not an expert though so you can still try them out.

PRO's
- lighter coverage compared to foundation.
- has SPF for sun protection
- hides redness if you have breakouts.
- my favorite! it works really good in photos. specially after giving it a time to blend in to your skin.

CON's
- only has two shades,
  > sadly none of the shades fit me. Fair is too light, that I need to invest much time blending it properly or else I'll end up looking like a clown, while Natural is giving me a tan complexion. So I sticked with Fair, the hard works pays off after you have bended it well.

FINAL VERDICT
10/10 -  I really love this product and I am so happy Maxi-peel created a product such like this. Like I've have said I've used this almost my whole college years and up until now I still have them and always willing to have them on my face.


So the rest of my college years Maxi-peel concealing cream was my besfriend
up until my first year being In a call center industry.

up until I met MYRA E - VITALOW
Tinted moisturizer that gives you a healthy natural glow.

I was so excited to have it after hearing about it.
Product : Myra E - VitaGlow
Price : P135 for a tube
Shades : Ivory - too light for me, still gives me a clown look
Beige - looking forward to try this one hopefully this will give me a perfect fit then the search is over.

How I discover this Product?
My Team Leader introduced the product and I've been noticing that he has a beautiful skin. enough reason to make me curious about the product.

Will I use this again?
I am using it right now, still learning the technique on how I can blend it well to achieve a decent look.

To whom will I recommend it?
I'll recommend it to everyone, but if you hate shimmers, don't dare use this product because it has microscopic  glitters and I love it.

PRO's
- its tinted, lighter than a foundation enough coverage for everyday use.
- has microscopic glitters that gives you a shimmery look
- easy to apply
- love the smell
- my favorite! it works really good in photos. specially after giving it a time to blend in to your skin.

CON'S
- only has two shades
  sadly Ivory is not my shade, looking forward to try Beige hopefully it will not give me a tan look like Ive read on other reviews.
- has microscopic glitters - some or most don't like them.

FINAL VERDICT
9/10 - I love that they have come up with this idea, its almost perfect for me but its not their fault that I didn't get a perfect shade. I entirely love this product super love the shimmers.

Morning

Concert day.

          Tired from work, got to take a good nap for tonight, the night that I've been waiting for. Thank God my leave was approved. Everything was set because I really cant miss it.

Set an alarm : 3pm , give me an hour to prepare and two hours to travel from Rizal to Mall of Asia Arena. Gates will open exactly six o'clock , enough time for me to buy my ticket and to get a good spot.

          Everything was planned and in order, I closed my eyes fought my excitement and saved my energy for tonight. Until I woke up and the room was so dark, it was 6 o'clock in the evening. I guessed I was so tired for my alarm clock. I wanted to cry but I guessed I didn't have the luxury of time, so I jumped out of bed, took a quick bath, didn't eat and didn't brush my teeth ( I didn't eat and I brushed my teeth before I slept so what difference will it make?) not a valid one, right? I know , but put yourself into my shoe, Its BIGBANG! can't afford to miss it and brushing will give me five more minutes away from Bigbang.

          I was at the bus worried that any minute my phone will run out of battery, I received a text  from my friend who was at the venue already. She told me that there were no more tickets. I almost cried, I could not believe everything that was happening. That feeling of wanting something badly but you cant do anything about it anymore, I was so helpless or should I say Hopeless. I asked her to look for tout, she told me that even those tout were looking for spare tickets.

          Still I went to the Arena, met my friend - we were so sad, I cant believe that after the long wait, after all of the preparations, I will miss the concert just that. 

I can't believe that Bigbang was just inside the arena and there I was outside.

          Exactly 8 o'clock the concert started, there were actually a lot of us outside hopelessly waiting. How did we know? we were actually hearing it and it broke our heart.

          Then an old man approached us and offered an admission for a reasonable price. I was hesitant, missing the concert was a lot of a trauma and being a victim of a BOGUS seller will make it worse. But my friend and I have no choice, we have to take the risk,  Bigbang was inside the arena and we waited enough for this so we accepted the offer just right in time. Because other fans actually begged him for the admission, good thing my friend acted fast. A girl actually followed us crying out and asking for the admission. I pity her because I know that I can do the same thing being on her position but I have no time to pity a common VIP. There we were following the unknown man very nervous but holding the tiny strand of hope that he will get us inside the arena. 

          Then OLA! there we were running, yelling , crying? or I guess we were actually laughing to much, too much happiness can make you cry you know.

I cant believe I can still make it inside the arena. Like you know, I never lose hope but sometimes things happen so fast and you don't know how to react.

I can't remember what the first song was, I just stared at the stage trying to absorb what was happening , Arena is better that Araneta,  why? because even though our spot is not that close my eyes were still satisfied with what I was seeing I mean it was not that close but enough to see the details of what they were wearing and to see the expressions of their face.

          People were cheering! yellow light sticks were everywhere. 

I don't know if it was the yellow lights or my eyes were shining

I was going crazy but I don't care and I don't think they care, who wouldn't go insane?

I can't remember much during the concert,

I guess because I just screamed, laughed , dance gone wild and crazy with fellow VIP's.

didn't waste any minute , almost did not close my eyes.

It was 4 months ago when I first heard of Bigbang's Alive tour here in Manila. That very moment I told myself that there is no way I will miss it. 

I could still remember the first three songs of Bigbang that I've downloaded on my phone.

(Always, Together Forever and Last Farewell)

It was love at first sight , I loved everything about them. Their music, style, charisma and fashion.

Four Months ago I can't hardly wait to see them perform live.

The concert will start at 8 o'clock in the evening but I need to wake up by 3pm to meet my fellow VIP and go together at the Mall of Asia Arena (the venue for the BIGBANG ALIVE TOUR). I actually have a shift for this night good thing I have filed my leave.

Call Center Journey

Fresh start with a Fresh lips

June 26, 2012 - My start date and the first day of my training with the new Company.
I guess it won't be hard for me to remember this date because first its my Sister's Birthday and couple of things that will help me remember like unlimited Jollibee and a lip balm. I posted the photo of a Lip balm not because I find it very cute since I promised that I'll be posting cute things here but also to symbolize my fresh start with  the new environment. Fresh new beginnings with a fresh lips : ),
I saw it in Watsons and I find it really cute so I asked my sister to buy it for me as a present since its her b-day , isn't it cool?

          First day wasn't bad at all, I met new friends and I am calling them my alliance ( Paola , Snow, Jan, Dee and Mayet ) I believe that we have a very strong team work and it will help us overcome all of our endeavors and it will lead us to our triumph , trust me I saw this in Hunger Games and this one works.
Most of the people are nice, of course what do you expect? this is just the first day and it is very early to assess but I am hoping that everything will go well here since I don't wanna leave and look for my place somewhere else again. Part of the Wave75 -  our wave, are two of my schoolmates back in Jose Rizal University, Rodel and Joyce and during our group activity, I get a chance to meet Ayen, Ericka, Jhazz and Rodel again since we're on the same group. I included a photo of my temporary name tag and a photo of the robot that I drew earlier even though I still don't know what it is for.

          I would like you to meet " BATHY BOTH " - just like me, he loves taking a bath and he is a music lover by heart if he has one. He is a HQ Voice recorder, mp3 player, Digital camera and he is also wireless internet capable. One last thing Bathy both can transform into a small recording studio  but this feature is still being finalized.



June 27, 2012 - Second day of training still very happy but a bit bothered with the requirements that we need to submit plus the pressure from the assessments that we need to meet 
but everything is pretty fine, we played the game 369 which I think is a very exciting game. I was knocked down because of number 60 I hate that number now.

Foundation day while on Foundations Training

          I posted a photo of a pressed powder from Etude house. Firstly because I love Etude house specially right now that the products that they have are not only for girls they also have products specially for guys. Second thing because it symbolizes the foundation of our learning and the foundation of our alliance while we are on our Foundations Training.

NOTE : the pressed powder is not actually mine, it belongs to my sister but I decided to take a shot because I find it cute.

A Headset Love Story

           I never thought that I'll be missing you now that you're gone. I never thought that I'll be losing you at all. 
Now I miss everything about you. I should have valued every minute that I still have you on my head, supporting, caring and loving me. 
I should have valued all of your love those times that I still have them, and now I feel deaf and mute without you. 

           Those times when you were kissing my ears and whispering words that time cannot erase. The sweet sound of your voice that has almost set me free, I was prepared to face my fears just to be with you but your grip has loosen up and the sweet sound was no longer clear and pure. I tried to keep you in place and hold you as tight as I could. I tried my best to make you stay, but it's painful to force you locked on my head the piercing sound hurt my ears and it broke my heart. 
Forcing you to be in place left red marks on my ears. I don't know what to say to make you change your mind and I don't even know what I've said that has made you changed it, my voice were gone when you left and I know that there is nothing else that I can say to make you stay. I miss your voice so much and I want to have you by my side. My walls were burnt down by your passion, you have caried me away with the warmth of your embrace, caught of guard and got too attached. 


           The marks on my ears are almost gone but my heart still have some, I guess they will be having their stay. Someone's gonna have you now so I need to shake you off of my head.

Charles in a BOX - Passion in TROY

June 13, 2012 - Wednesday afternoon

         

          Starring two of my favorite actors Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom. I think there is nothing left for me say about the movie that you don't know as of now, this post is not Informative, just wanna share my thoughts about my favorite movie, when I say favorite - it is like if I'll be choosing my Top 3 Favorite movies , Troy will definitely get a spot. Hoping for those readers who hasn't watched the movie yet will be inspired to spend one of their cozy afternoon to watch it and one thing that I can guarantee is that it'll worth your time and better take a pee before watching because you're gonna hold them long once you have pressed the play.



          So let me give you my list on how TROY shows shades of love in different shapes and sizes.

          Lets begin with Achilles - his love for his cousin Patroclus is so pure, we all love our cousins but what you will see on the movie is way beyond what you can imagine. He fell in love with Briseis - Trojan Priestess, their story is so inspiring though not so unique if you have heard of Romeo and Juliet.

Scene to watch out : He is the best warrior and no one can beat him in a fight, but you'll see scenes that will show that he is not just a blood hungry killing machine and you'll see little bit of gentleness.

Hector - among the characters Hector is actually my favorite. The movie shows how passionate he is, he loves his nation so much and he is willing to do everything to protect it and the people. He is a loving son, supportive brother and of course a caring husband.

Scene to watch out : Paris agreed to fight one on one against Menelaus to avoid a bloody war. Paris lost his way and almost got killed and of course Hector didn't let it happen.

King of Troy Priam - I guess the passion that Hector has for Troy was influenced by his father Priam. In the movie Priam was described as a well loved King.

Scene to watch out : This scene shows how loving he is as a father and what he can do for his son. He went outside his boundaries and went to Achilles' territory to get his son back. ( the body actually :( ..)


          Paris - I've almost hated this character if not only because of his reason, he fell in love which I guess it is a valid one right?

Scene to watch out : When he decided to fight one on one against Menelaus. You'll see the courage yet you'll discover his humanity and I do understand him a lot, I am also afraid to die.

          Helen of Troy - Though she became popular as the face that launched a thousand ships. I can't find even a tiny reason to hate her. She just fell in love, what are you people?


Scene to watch out : When Troy was under attacked by Greeks, Helen tried to escape and surrender herself to the Greeks because that's what the Greeks were saying, they said they want Helen back though the truth is they want something else, BUT the good thing is Hector saw and stopped her.



Agamemnon - His love for power was actually the reason for the war and not Helen, so stop blaming it to the young lady with the beautiful face.

Scene to watch out : Nothing in particular, actually I hate seeing him. Geez sorry guys the movie scenes got into my system a little overboard :)

          Andromache - I love her, nothing much to say everything will be shown on the movie so watch out for this scene : Achilles went to Troy to avenge his cousin's death. The duel between Hector and Achilles was a torture in her eyes. You'll cry with her.

Patroclus - Achilles' cousin that I am talking about is him. I don't like his character because he is so childish you'll know what I am talking about after watching the Movie.

Scene to watch out : When he got killed , that will serve as a good lesson. Follow your senior's orders.


          Briseis - together with Achilles will show you how love conquers all the odds.

Scene to watch out : in most of her scenes, you will see her saving someone from getting killed, enough reason for you to love her.

          So there you go Guys hope you enjoyed reading what my heart contains after watching the movie for the 5th time and again all of the contents are not 100% accurate those are just honest opinions so please don't hate me. Charles in a BOX - Explanation of the Creation

Hi I'm Charles same as the typical guy that you usually see in your neighborhood and this my first time to blog, So help me GOD.



What are the things that you can expect from me ?

• I'll try to post at least 2-3 topics a month. ( wish I can post more )
• Most of the things that you'll be seeing here are not 100% original , most of the time I'll just be doing a compilation of things that I see online, but don't kill me yet I'll give proper Credits.
• I love doing list so you can expect a countdown of random things from music, movies, books, food, places and a lot more.
• I can also give advice/s but I cannot guarantee a 100% accuracy and satisfaction for a fact that I am not a PRO, I might just give my opinions or suggestions based on what I think is right and appropriate.
• You can expect a lot of photos. Pictures of Random things but surely an eye candy. ( i'll try to produce like 90% original captions )
• Videos - I regularly upload Videos in Youtube so you'll be seeing them here. I usually do covers of KPOP songs. 
• I am not good in Spelling so please bare with me and English is not my native tongue so please forgive me for ( hopefully only ) few errors.
